FRIENDS OF THE GALLERY

Friends The Friends of the Crawford Gallery was established in May 1989, under Mrs. R. O'Brien as Honorary Secretary and has grown to over four hundred members. As an independent support organisation, the Friends are dedicated to increasing the Irish art collection housed in the Gallery through assisting with acquisitions and purchasing art works.

As patrons of the arts, the Friends are dedicated to building public awareness of the superb collection and providing additional support to safeguard the Crawford Gallery collection. Members of the Friends have the opportunity to take part in weekly coffee mornings in the Gallery Café, monthly lunchtime lectures and music recitals in the lecture theatre of the Crawford Gallery.

FriendsExcursions are arranged to tour period homes, notable landmarks and gardens, art collections and exhibitions throughout Ireland and annual holidays abroad to visit collections of international calibre.
