This autumn, to coincide with the Daniel Maclise exhibition at the gallery,
we have  planned a series of lectures on different aspects of his life and work.

These lectures are open to the general public.

Wednesday 29th October     
An Introduction to the Life and Art of Daniel Maclise    
       
Peter Murray

This lecture will be followed by a guided tour of the exhbition and coffee and scones in the gallery café

“ ‘Alfred Croquis’ aux beaux- arts parisiens”
Daniel Maclise and the 1837 – 1841 fresque painting of Paul Hippolyte Delaroche (1797 -1856 ) in the Hémicycle de l’École des beaux-arts de Paris

Dr Leon Litvack
Dr Litvack lectures in 19th and 20th century literature in Queens University. He is a trustee of the Dickens Museum in London and is currently completing the Complete Critical Guide to Dickens with Routledge.

 

Please note admssion fee is €10 for the opening lecture, tour and café.
All other lectures are €5.
